The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
